Dr. Tim Themi teaches in the School of Culture and Communication at The University of Melbourne and is the author of Lacan’s Ethics and Nietzsche’s Critique of Platonism (SUNY 2015). His new book is Eroticizing Aesthetics In the Real with Bataille and Lacan (Rowman & Littlefield 2021).

Dr. Themi works with The Lacan Circle of Australia. He is giving a presentation about his new book Eroticizing Aesthetics In the Real with Bataille and Lacan on Sunday, August 8, in conversation with Dr. Russell Grigg. The event is FREE and open to everyone.
Dr. Themi is also teaching a Seminar on Perversion through The Lacan Circle of Australia which begins on August 17th and runs for 10 weeks.
Dr. Themi and Dr. Sinclair will be in an event together Cast Off with Marcus Boon, David Bard-Schwatz, hosted by Franck Ancel and Fondation de la Psychanalyse, Paris, Saturday, October 9th.
